Royal Hunt have extended their contracts with Frontiers Records and Marquee/Avalon in order to include a brand new studio album which is expected to be released in October/November this year.
It seems like we´ll have quite a bit of fun in 2013: “20th Anniversary Special Edition” package has been received so well that we´re in talks right now about releasing it as a gorgeous looking triple vinyl – with bonuses! A new album? Indeed and this time we´ll deliver something that we´ve never done before – a third decade of RH´s evolution should start with a bang!And what about touring? Absolutely! We´ve already started discussing it with our promoters so expect to get rocked royally as soon as all the dates will be sorted out – we´ll keep you posted.

20 years since the release of our debut album – how do we celebrate it? With a tour and a special release, ofcourse! The touring part went down well (thank you very much) so now it´s time for a release: 3 CDs and a DVD in a great looking digipack: “20th Anniversary – Special Edition” contains 25 songs carefully picked by the band from all of our 11 studio albums, 1 new song (written/recorded this summer for this special occasion), 3 newly recorded “unplugged” versions of previously released tracks and a DVD including all the promotional videoclips from our past.
Hi guys, thank you all for the wonderful tour. It´s been a pleasure to perform our set to such an enthusiastic crowd every night – fans in each and every country/city were truly unique, truly special. We enjoyed it all: the actual performances, unplugged sessions, meet´n greets and just some casual chats with you before and after shows. We were sincerely delighted to be reminded of how much our music means to so many of you – thank you… and thanks to our support bands, our indestructible crew, management, promoters, record companies, agents and all these people who made this tour so successful: have a well-deserved rest and enjoy the summer!
